The Pozen Center's Human Rights Lab is a unique campus space that gets students directly involved with cutting-edge innovations in human rights practice, under the supervision of expert practitioners.

The Lab hosts an evolving slate of projects (listed below). By contributing to them, students gain skills that prepare them to succeed in the worlds of human rights research and advocacy.

Present: Global Human Rights Lab

Collaborate with the UChicago Law School's Global Human Rights Clinic to support research and advocacy efforts, including the work of Morris Tidball-Binz, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on extrajudicial, summary, or arbitrary executions, currently based at the Pozen Center.

Past: Mass Incarceration and Racialized Policing Lab

From 2018 to 2023, the Lab hosted this far-reaching project on prisons and punishment.
